You're Pregnant!

Over 30 and pregnant? Oh My Gosh! Me too!!! Were you expecting it? Me either!

I don't care how much planning you've done to get pregnant, for however long you've been trying to get pregnant. When you look down and that first positive result - its a shock. You can hardly believe it, and you think there might be something faulty with the test so you pound a glass of water and check again with the other test that came in the double-pack (pregnancy tests always come in twos for this very reason). This would be the pack which you bought at the local drug store feeling slightly embarrassed, as if you were in high school. You casually perused the aisles, grabbing some lotion you don't need, and a nail polish you'll never wear only to find yourself in 'the aisle' pretending to look at the box of epsom salts, but ever so sneakily flipping a pregnancy test into your basket. And yet still after two positive results, you don't quite believe the result until that first blood test at the doctors. That's when it really hits home. You're pregnant!

And if you're feeling anything like I am - you're exhausted! How can something the size of a sesame seed make you sooooooo tired? I want to sleep all the time! I'm finding blinking is taking longer than it ever has before, since my eyes stay closed, trying to convince me to just leave them like that. :) And since I am currently feeling this effect, I'm going to bed.
